IEA Teams
At the beginning of the 2018-2019 school year, Snowfield Farm will be forming middle school and high school teams to compete in IEA! IEA is the Interscholastic Equestrian Association which provides young riders the opportunity to compete at horse shows as part of team and for individual points. Since students ride horses provided by the host barn and chosen by a random draw, IEA is great for riders who may not own their own horse but would like to compete at horse shows, for a very reasonable cost.
IEA is offered for a riders whose abilities range from beginner to advanced. Riders in grades 6-8 are eligible to compete on the middle school team and riders in grades 9-12 are eligible for the high school team. For riders in their senior year of high school and who have competed in IEA for 2 years or more, IEA offers scholarships as well as other educational programs. Riders who are not yet in 6th grade or higher, IEA provides a horsemanship program.
We are very excited for the upcoming year. Contact us to learn more or to become a part of our team!
